We are looking for a Head Chef to manage the SÍTIO DA PEDRALVA Restaurant, with a passion for rural hospitality, attention to detail and the ability to lead teams with empathy and efficiency.

Job functions
- Team Coordination: Coordinate and lead a team of 4 to 6 members, ensuring motivation and efficiency.
- Assign tasks, organise shifts, and manage priorities according to service volumes.
- Train, monitor and evaluate team members, promoting good practices and a positive working environment.
- Planning and Preparation
- Plan and prepare menus and technical data sheets in conjunction with the Supervisor/Manager.
- Ensure that dishes are prepared to high standards of quality and consistency.
- Collaborate in the development of new recipes and gastronomic proposals.
- Operational Management
- Control and optimise operating costs (food, waste, staff).
- Ensure the correct management of stocks, orders and product storage.
- Supervise strict compliance with hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area (HACCP).
- Quality Control and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes before service.
- Monitor efficiency and cost indicators, proposing solutions for improvement.
- Promote sustainable practices in kitchen management and waste reduction.
Requirements:
- Technical and professional training in cooking or proven experience in the role.
- In-depth knowledge of national and international cuisine.
- Mastery of food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
- Notions of cost control, technical data sheets and stock management.
- Good computer skills from a user perspective (Excel, invoicing/kitchen management software).
- Strong leadership, organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage stress and solve problems.
- Good communication and team spirit.
- Focus on results and quality.
- Solid experience in professional kitchens and team management.
- Creative and innovative spirit in gastronomy.
- High sense of responsibility and professionalism.
